The R3 Program
The R3 program allows you to attend any of the R3 Resilience Trainings by requesting training time OR, if you choose, you may remain ANONYMOUS.
To remain anonymous: contact the training organization and complete their intake process. No personal information will be shared with your department.
The Process
To attend an R3 Training, follow this process:
1. Choose from the list of R3 Trainings below.
2. Contact Kaleb Kemp kaleb.kemp@fortworthtexas.gov to request training time for desired program.
3. Once approved complete the FD012 travel training form.
4. Upon completion of the training program, submit your training program certificate of completion to Kaleb Kemp.

R3 Confidential Counseling Program
In response to the challenges associated with seeking counseling within police and fire departments, a confidential, culturally-competent counseling program is available through a contract with the American Warrior Association.
Every Fire Department Employee including telecommunicators, dispatch, retirees, and/or their immediate family members are provided 7 free sessions annually from our approved clinicians.
No personal information is shared with the American Warrior Association or your department.

Kimberly Parker is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in trauma therapy. Kimberly is the daughter of a Retired Police Officer and Firefighter, and her father served in Viet Nam. Kimberly retired after 25 years with the Euless Police Department in 2018 and started working as a therapist serving first responders, military, and their family members. She opened Forged in Valor in 2021 and carefully chose business partners/therapists who support the mission of helping First Responders. Amanda Noyes, LCSW-S has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings that have equipped her with notable hands-on experience over the past 20 years. She has worked on-scene alongside police, supported doctors and nurses in ER and ICU departments, and worked next to U.S National Guard during Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Ike, and Harvey. Amanda specializes in combat PTSD and is passionate about providing hope and healing to all first responders and individuals who have endured (or are continuing to endure) horrific traumas and unspeakable losses.
Mark Chapman, LCSW, LCDC, has been working in the mental health field for 30 years and is passionate about helping individuals who are suffering after experiencing trauma, struggling with substance abuse, and dealing with life setbacks to include anxiety and depression. Through his work with the Department of Defense in Germany, and later with soldiers at Ft. Hood, Mark became focused on serving our veterans and first responders.
Cristina Serna, LMSW has had two career paths that have equipped her with distinguished experience. Her military service provided her with hands-on experience during her enlisted time. She then entered the mental health field where she has had the opportunity to work with complex and traumatic cases. Cristina believes heroes need help too, and she is extremely passionate about helping our military, veterans, and first responders to fight the fight within so they can continue to do what they are meant to do. Cristina is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Jess Harris, Clinical Mental Health Masters-Level Intern has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings to help her to effectively work with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma or adversity. Jess is able to draw from 20 years of childcare experience working with children who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, oppositional defiant disorder, and dyslexia to connect with each unique child.

Dr. Blake Mallory is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, NCC, CPT ) and the Co-founder and owner of a trauma- and grief-informed group practice, Cardinal Counseling and Wellness Group, PLLC. With over 20 years of Marine Corps, law enforcement, investigative and counseling experience, he understands firsthand the culture and stigma surrounding public servants asking for help. Dr. Mallory’s approach to the therapeutic relationship is eclectic and holistic, providing clients with a unique therapeutic and healing experience. He utilizes a person-centered and solution focused approach with a primary emphasis on creating and developing a therapeutic alliance.
Dr. Mallory provides trauma-focused and cognitive-based therapies, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Crisis intervention (CISM), debriefing strategies and psychoeducational outlets.
